Jay has been living, breathing and coaching kiteboarding, winging and E-foiling on Hatteras Island since the early days. Flying CORE product since 1999, Jay has worked with and learned from the pioneers. He spends winters at North Star Ski Resort, California, to further expand his teaching knowledge.

Dolan Cromley
Dolan, and his family, have been coming to the Outer Banks every summer since he can remember.
He started kiting with brother Peyton, during the summer of 2015. Addicted since then!
Currently, he is playing football at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. His friendly attitude and willingness
to help with any OBK activity makes him a great addition to the team!!

Michael Diantonio:
Michael has been on the water operating power boats, wakeboarding and sailing since he was 8 years old. He has competed in numerous sailing regattas, snowboard competitions and ski races. He has been kiteboarding for over 12 years and became a PASA certified instructor 10 years ago. Michael has also been an instrument rated airplane pilot for over 22 years, has captained numerous bareboat charters in the Caribbean as an ASA certified sailor and has over 30 years professional experience in the Tour & Travel industry.

David Gaia Kano

David grew up summering in Cape Cod sailing and racing dingies. In 1976 he started windsurfing, racing at the national and world championships between 1977 and 1980. He taught windsurfing from 1978-1981, from beginners at schools in Florida and Cape cod to advanced students on vacation in the Caribbean. He has also taught sailing (head sailing counselor summer of 2007, Cataumet club), cooperative sports of his own invention and downhill skiing.

Dean Ruffing
Dean has always been the outdoors adventurist. Growing up in the Lake Tahoe/Truckee region of California his parents were part owners of a small ski area.  This is where the passion for skiing all started. In the summers he spent time on the lake teaching  water skiing and sailing.  But when he move to San Diego, there was a new adventure. The Pacific Ocean.  Here he took his lake experience and started surfing and the kite boarding.  Today he is back teaching skiing at Northstar Resort at Truckee and is excited to spend  time in Avon with the OBK Team .
